31 Days Journal: Day 3 Put on Weight
Phew. I almost didn’t make this post. Today had been extremely busy with work.
So Day 3’s objective (from the 31 Days Challenge at Art of Manliness) is to implement a positive change in my life. This is one is much lighter topic to talk about compared to yesterdays so here’s mine.
Personally, I perceive myself as rather underweight. I’ve not particularly paid attention to the way I look but I know, I have always had problems putting weight on and keeping it. I never used to feel hungry so I didn’t eat as much. As a result, I’m like a pencil thin. It would seem sometimes that the wind would literally blow me away.
So, surprise, surprise…
Putting on weight is exactly the change I would like implement in my life. In fact, I had already decided that that was one of my goals for 2014. I would like to gain a few more kilos and keep it at a healthy state.
Ideally, I’d like to be 70kg. I am about 58kg at the moment so 12kg seems like a doable target this year. Every week I will record the changes, if there were any; and hopefully, before my birthday, I’d at least be 65kg. I’m not one for taking photos of myself, but for the sake of this challenge, I’ll do one. So, at the end of the year, I’ll show the progress pics!
There is nothing particularly impressive about this but I know the route to achieving this will significantly change the way I operate. Eating for a start… and yes, rather awkwardly, I’ll have to do some more fitness so I don’t end up just becoming unhealthily fat.
