31 Days Journal: Day 7 One Week Done
Phew. I know it’s a day late but here’s Day 7 of my 31 Days Journal challenge.
This post is just about reflecting on the past 7 days so here goes.
I always struggle to keep the momentum going at everything and this 31 Days Journal is not an exception. However, I found the last few topics quite affirming and I’ve learnt something about myself in those moments of reflection. I’ve pinned down a couple of goals (Day 3 and Day 4) and voiced out what really needs to be said to my friends (Day 5).
The day I’ve particularly found difficult was the letter to my friends. They need to be acknowledged individually but I know I would fail miserably at doing that and I would have risked offending those that I may not get to mention (because of my Alzheimers or some other poor excuse). So, I made it as general as possible and for me, it felt that the overall effect was somewhat diminished. I must therefore reiterate that I am immeasurably thankful for my friends!
I am somewhat disappointed that even though many of my local friends do blog, none of them pick it up. I’m obviously NOT a trend setter! I am however glad that Ben, a friend from France, is doing it. We find that blogging is an effective way to share stories and connect.
Looking ahead at the later topics, I am actually quite excited to do them and, undoubtably, they spur me on to continue this challenge. Some of them are particularly quite difficult to write about but I’ll persevere.
Onwards to 24 more days!
